The Association of Danish Scenographers

The Association of Danish Scenographers unionizes setdesigners, production designers, lighting designers, and costume designers.

We safeguard the professional and artistic interests of our members and make collective agreements with the theatres, or theatre organizations, and with the Danish Television.

The Association of Danish Scenographers shares offices with the Danish Film- and Television Workers’ Union.

To safeguard the interests of our members we have established internal com-mittees, are negotiating agreements, arranging in-service training, are repre-sented on various boards, a.o. Danish Artists’ Advisory Council, Danish ITI/TU (International Theatre Institute and Theatre Union) and the Theatre Museum.

Last but not least, we handle problems of copy-right, f.inst. in cooperation with the copy-right organization Copy-Dan, and on committees dealing with the thea-tre policy.

The Association of Danish Scenographers is engaged in training- and additional education-policy, cooperating with the Danish National Theatre School, The Na-tional Film School of Denmark and Danmarks Designskole.

Almost 100% of the active scenographers in Denmark are members of the As-sociation of Danish Scenographers.

The Association communicates information of professional and artistic contents a.o. in a publication for members ”1:25”, and every year issues a complete list of its members.

The Association owns an apartment in Berlin, which the members have the possibility to rent on a weekly basis.
